Hey Friday is a Progressive Web App (PWA). This means you can install it directly from your browser — no App Store or Google Play required. Once installed, it looks and works like a native app: fullscreen, on your home screen, with its own icon.
Install on iPhone (iOS 16.4 or later)
- Open Safari on your iPhone. Hey Friday must be installed from Safari — other browsers on iOS do not support PWA installation.
- Go to heyfriday.co.
- Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen."
- Tap "Add" in the top right corner.
- Hey Friday now appears on your home screen. Tap it to open the full-screen app.
Note: If you do not see "Add to Home Screen," make sure you are using Safari (not Chrome or Firefox) and that your iOS is 16.4 or later.
Install on Android
- Open Chrome on your Android phone.
- Go to heyfriday.co.
- You may see an install banner at the bottom of the screen — tap "Install" if it appears.
- If no banner appears, tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
- Tap "Add to Home screen" or "Install app."
- Tap "Add."
- Hey Friday now appears on your home screen as a standalone app.
After Installation
When you open Hey Friday from your home screen, it launches fullscreen without any browser interface. It looks and behaves like a native app. You will be asked to sign in if you are not already logged in.
Hey Friday updates automatically — no manual updates or App Store downloads needed. Every time you open the app, it checks for the latest version and updates silently in the background.
Uninstalling
To remove Hey Friday from your phone: long-press the icon on your home screen and tap "Remove" (iPhone) or "Uninstall" (Android). Your account and data are not affected — you can reinstall at any time by revisiting heyfriday.co.
